Our Resource Rooms are now open by appointment only. Masks are required at all times and space is limited. Please call our offices to schedule an appointment or for any questions.

Partnership Updates Policies for COVID-19

New policies and procedures are in place at the Martin-Pitt Partnership for Children to ensure our staff and visitors’ health and well-being. The new policies cover utilizing our Resource Room, attending training, and returning toys to the Lending Library.

General Health & Safety Policies

Please do not visit the Martin-Pitt Partnership for Children if you:

  • Have tested positive for COVID-19
  • Are waiting results of a pending COVID-19 test
  • Were exposed to someone within the last 14 days who have tested positive for COVID-19
  • Are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19

We ask that you refrain from returning toys, dropping off items for curbside service for our Resource Room, or attending an in-person training until at least 14 days from your last known interaction or positive test.

A member of our staff will check your temperature immediately upon entering the building. If you have a temperature over 100.4, we will ask you to reschedule. Per the governor’s Executive Order, we require every person to wear a mask for the duration of their visit. The mask must cover your nose and mouth and be worn following CDC guidelines.

Hand sanitizer is available throughout our offices, and we encourage visitors to use it whenever necessary.

New Memberships & Membership Renewal

If your membership expired during the period that we were closed (March through July), your new membership expiration date will be our date of closing in mid-December. If you are interested in purchasing a new Professional Membership OR renewing your membership for 2021, you may do so at a discounted rate of $25. The deadline for purchasing a discounted membership is January 8, 2021.

Resource Room

The Partnership is excited to return to offering in-person access to our Resource Room for parents and child care providers. An appointment is required, and you must have (or purchase) a Parent Plus or Professional membership.

Appointments

Appointments will be available in 45-minute slots. If you miss your appointment or arrive late, we will not extend your time and instead will ask you to make another appointment. Please ensure you are finishing up by the end of your appointment slot so that our staff has enough time to ensure thorough cleaning before the next member arrives.

For the Pitt County office, appointment times will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Mondays/ Wednesdays, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For the Martin County office, appointment times will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Mondays/Wednesdays.

Please respect our staff’s privacy and avoid texting/calling any staff member’s cell phones to make an appointment.

Curbside Services

The Partnership is amending its curbside services. Effective August 12, 2020, we will only be offering drop-off lamination, bulletin board paper pick-up, and printing/copying. We will no longer be offering curbside service for die-cuts.

Staff will fulfill curbside service orders on a first-come, first-served basis. Please allow at least 24 hours turnaround time for curbside service drop-offs. We cannot guarantee same-day requests.

Lending Library

Our Lending Library will remain closed. If you have toys to return, you may do so by calling 252-758-8885 (Pitt County) or 252-789-4911 (Martin County). However, you may not check out any new items. Our primary concern is the ability to quarantine, thoroughly wash, and disinfect every item before it leaves and again as upon return.

We look forward to being able to reopen our Lending Library as soon as possible.

Training Policies

The staff at the Martin-Pitt Partnership for Children are working diligently to adjust offerings for in-person and online training. Currently, the only training we are offering in-person is for ITS/SIDS. We are offering this training at a reduced capacity that allows us to ensure social distancing guidelines while also allowing attendees to meet their child care licensing requirements.

When you arrive for training, please enter the Partnership offices at the “C” entrance next to the large folding sign. When arriving, please ensure social distancing with those around you and follow the staff’s instructions to access our Large Conference Room.

We will continue to offer a variety of training opportunities via Zoom until further notice. Please visit our Professional Development program webpage to see our list of training opportunities or register for training.
