Roblee Foundation awards PAT program $5,000

The Roblee Foundation has awarded the Parents as Teachers Program $5,000 grant in support of the program.

Parents as Teachers is one of the nine funded programs of the Partnership and is available in both Martin and Pitt Counties.  Parents as Teachers is dedicated to helping parents embrace their important role as their child’s first and most influential teacher.  Parents as Teachers is open to all families with children between the ages of birth through five and offers parenting support, positive interactions, and child development information through home visits, play groups and connections with additional community services.

The Martin/Pitt Partnership for Children serves children birth to five and their families throughout the two counties. The Partnership brings together all the people involved in a young child’s early years-families, teachers, doctors, childcare professionals, caregivers, social workers, and many others-to ensure every child has all they need for healthy growth and development.

The Joseph H. and Florence A. Roblee Foundation is dedicated to promoting change by supporting organizations that address significant social issues, improve quality of life, and help individuals fulfill their potential. The Roblee Foundation established in 1971 and based in St. Louis, Missouri, grants are typically awarded in the greater St. Louis, MO region and Miami/Dade County in FL. Grants may be made in other areas of special interest to the Board.
