State of the Young Child Breakfast 4/11/14

The Martin/Pitt Partnership for Children and United Way of Pitt County are hosting the State of the Young Child Breakfast at the Hilton Greenville on Friday, April 11th from 8:30am-11:00am.  Keynote speaker is Chief Hassan Aden of the Greenville Police Department on the importance of investing in high-quality early education and care to cut crime.  Panel discussion on The First 2000 Days initiative by Dr. Ethan Lenker, Pitt County Schools Superintendent, Dr. Sharon Ballard, Chair and Associate Professor of Child Development and Family Relations at ECU and Wanda Yuhas, Executive Director of the Pitt County Development Commission.  We will also be awarding the First 2000 Days Business and Individual Awards.  Breakfast will be provided.  Please RSVP to Christie Martin at 252.758.8885 or cmartin@mppfc.org.
