Trunk or Treat Spooktacular

In October, the Martin-Pitt Partnership for Children hosts one of our newest signature events, the Trunk or Treat Spooktacular, held outside the Greenville Mall. Our Trunk or Treat Spooktacular event is designed to inform and empower families, caregivers, and community organizations with resources and information to help every child enter kindergarten ready to succeed. It also promises a fun and safe trick-or-treating experience filled with kid-friendly activities for the whole family.

Our inaugural kickoff event in 2025 welcomed nearly 1,000 attendees, reflecting strong community interest and support. This success was made possible through generous sponsorships from Pitt County Health Department’s Triple P – Positive Parenting Program, Coastal Medical Transport, Sound Partners, Winterville Charter Academy, Greenville Utilities, Rebuilding Together Pitt County, Aflac, United Bank, Southern Bank, Contentnea Health, and Our Mission Home Care.

The event also featured participation from a wide range of community partners, including the Greenville Mall, Town of Winterville, Children’s Home Society of North Carolina, A Moment of Magic Foundation, Mid-East Commission Area Agency on Aging, Chick-fil-A, East Carolina Council, Scouting America, Eyemart Express, NC Pre-K Program, PCHD WIC Program, Care-O-World Learning Centers, Easterseals PORT Health, Parents for Public Schools of Pitt County, Pitt County Coalition on Substance Use, AmeriHealth Caritas, Pitt County Sheriff’s Office, PCHD Nurse-Family Partnership, Association of Mexicans in North Carolina, Greenville Museum of Art, ECU Health’s TEDI BEAR Children’s Advocacy Center, Jaac and Jill Afterschool, Center for Family Violence Prevention, ECU Health Medical Center, and Safe Kids Pitt County.

Together, these partnerships help make Trunk or Treat Spooktacular a meaningful celebration that blends learning, connection, and fun for families across our community.
